Peter Barrett joins Maltin PR as Partner

Maltin is delighted to announce that Peter Barrett has joined the firm as Partner, bringing with him a wealth of experience in reputation management and strategic communications.

Peter is a specialist in complex reputation management, combining crisis communications, litigation and disputes, strategic campaigning, cyber security and data privacy expertise. He has guided corporate and private clients through some of the most high-profile and sensitive crises in the UK in recent years, across sectors including energy and utilities, construction, manufacturing, aviation, retail and fashion, sport and tourism, and public services.

Prior to joining Maltin, Peter was Head of Special Situations at two international strategic communications consultancies over a ten-year period, Sodali & Co (formerly Powerscourt) and previously Infinite Global.

His recent corporate work has included advising on emergency public safety incidents, varied litigation (civil and criminal, including collective actions), major public inquiries, regulatory and workplace investigations, advocacy campaigns and more. He has specific experience in cyber security and data privacy matters, having advised on many complex breach responses and preparedness projects.

Peter also has extensive experience advising private individuals and senior executives on personal and professional matters, from strategic storytelling and personal profile-raising, to defamation and smear campaigns, media intrusion, investigations, and broader disputes.

Peter is highly experienced at working closely with legal, intelligence, digital and security colleagues to build integrated and impactful strategies to solve clients’ communications challenges. He will work closely with Maltin’s team of industry-leading strategic communications specialists in London and the US, helping drive continued excellence in client services and business development.
