Barnaby specialises in litigation PR, reputation management and crisis communications. He provides strategic advice to corporate clients and HNWIs navigating complex disputes, typically with cross-border and international elements.

Barnaby takes great care in building long standing relationships with his clients, who rely on his strong base of contacts across the US and UK national, legal and trade press to swiftly navigate reputational issues and ensure that their media objectives are achieved.

He is experienced in handling high-stakes matters, advising on crisis communications strategy to protect his clients’ business and personal interests.

He also assists with the firm’s pro bono work. He has organised and run multiple high-profile press conferences reported on globally.

He is described in the Legal 500 UK Guide 2026 as “a joy to work with”, with one source in the Chambers & Partners UK Guide 2026 stating that “he excels at placing materials.”

Barnaby’s prior experience includes several internships in the London offices of both Greenberg Traurig and Reed Smith, and fundraising campaigns for international charities.

Outside of work, Barnaby regularly plays field hockey, and enjoys surfing. His interest in communications and corporate and legal affairs led him to Maltin PR.
