Chris rose to prominence in reputation management during the infamous Agent Orange class action lawsuit of the early 1980s. Since then he has directed communications strategies for clients across all sectors and continents, including advising clients on a wide range crisis communications matters including cyberattacks, data breaches, environmental disasters, product recalls, product liability, corporate malfeasance, discrimination, regulatory scrutiny, criminal prosecutions, boycotts and social controversies.
Chris is a pioneer of the concept of Reputation Risk Management, marrying reputation considerations with risk management principals as a means of identifying and quantifying the reputation risks associated with corporate strategies and tactics both inside and outside the courtroom, in order to anticipate and prevent reputation-threatening situations.
Chris writes and lectures frequently on topics related to strategic communications, reputation management and current affairs. He lives in Fairfield, Connecticut with his wife, and is the father of five.
