Prior to joining Maltin PR, Hugo advised CEOs, serial entrepreneurs, and politically persecuted individuals facing high-profile reputational crises, including matters involving corporate de-banking.

Through strategic counsel and reputational risk analysis, Hugo has enabled financial institutions to better understand background circumstances and assess clients within KYC, compliance, and risk frameworks.

Having advised clients spanning six continents, Hugo possesses extensive political communications experience, most recently assisting a Middle Eastern Foreign Ministry to navigate a hostile global media environment. This experience extends to successful digital political campaigns across Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.

Hugo has also led high-profile awareness campaigns on behalf of UHNW individuals, including a sustained engagement against a leading aviation manufacturer conducted in parallel with active legal proceedings.

Hugo holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Exeter.
