Vicky McGuire

Media Trainer

Vicky brings over twenty years’ experience devising and delivering campaigns and managing issues across education, health, and social justice. From campaigning against modern slavery for the Home Office to recruiting more staff for the NHS, she has worked across Whitehall, using communications to embed national policies that improve outcomes.

For the last 8 years she was Managing Director of the social purpose division at Four Agency Worldwide, securing Four’s spot as the number one agency for public sector (PR Week 2024). In that time, she built extensive experience handling communications around public inquiries – from Brook House to Angiolini, Cranston and Infected Blood. She led the launch of the first report of the Angiolini Inquiry, securing over 9,000 pieces of coverage and ensuring the government accepted all the Inquiry’s recommendations within a month.

Vicky delivers media training and works with organisations to manage issues and develop communications strategies and messaging. She has trained everyone from entrepreneurs for Innovate UK to charity CEOs to individuals with sensitive stories to tell. She trained Lady Elish Angiolini, Chair of the Angiolini Inquiry, ahead of the public launch. She works with a broadcast studio and experienced videographer for a realistic ‘to camera’ experience. Kate Eves, OBE, Chair of the Brook House Inquiry said: “Vicky is knowledgeable and engaging, immediately putting me at ease. Her media training was very well-tailored to my needs. I felt fully prepared and confident by the end of our session. Crucially, Vicky provided sound advice and guidance on key media messages in order to maximise the impact of the inquiry’s recommendations”.
