Former Press Association court reporter Siân Harrison joins Maltin PR
We are pleased to welcome former Law Editor at the Press Association, Siân Harrison, as a Partner.
With nearly 20 years’ experience as a newspaper and agency journalist, Siân has extensive knowledge on complex cases and key points of media interest in litigation.
Siân has over 15 years’ experience in reporting in courts, and has covered some of the most high-profile court cases of recent years, including Sir Cliff Richard’s privacy case against the BBC, Johnny Depp’s libel case against the publisher of The Sun and Gina Miller’s case against the Government.
In addition to her significant contributions to legal journalism, Siân is a co-author of McNae’s Essential Law for Journalists, known by industry professionals as “the bible”, and is a member of the National Council for the Training of Journalists media law exam board. Siân also sits on the HM Courts and Tribunal Service media working group.
At Maltin PR, Siân will work with the team to advise clients on a number of litigation PR matters, providing invaluable insight from her experience as a court reporter to establish the best way to present cases, and liaise with her vast network over the coverage of complex legal matters.
Commenting on her appointment, Siân said “I am delighted to be joining this team of dedicated and award-winning Litigation PR professionals at Maltin PR. Having worked with them as a journalist, I know they leave no stone unturned in helping clients share their stories and highlighting important issues of public interest.
“After 13 years covering the Law Courts, I have developed a rich understanding of the complexities of litigation and what makes a news story, plus an in-depth knowledge of the media landscape, and I look forward to putting my knowledge and skills to good use for our clients.”
Managing Partner Tim Maltin commented “Siân will be an invaluable asset to our growing Litigation PR team, and we are delighted to be working with her. Siân’s understanding of how to navigate complex cases within the media and her ability to rapidly identify key points of media interest in litigation matters will be beneficial for our client narratives.”
